Nuremberg specialist for local retail property GRR with new brand identity following takeover by GARBE
The asset and investment manager GRR Real Estate Management GmbH from Nuremberg, which has been part of the GARBE Group since the beginning of the year, is now officially part of the GARBE Group with its newly designed brand identity.
As a clear sign of this, the company name is also changing with immediate effect: the former GRR Real Estate Management GmbH will become GRR GARBE Retail Real Estate GmbH. With immediate effect, the company will appear on the market under the name "GRR. GARBE Retail" with a new logo and new design. The website www.grr-garbe.com has also been redesigned. The integration of the specialist for local retail property into the GARBE group of companies has thus been successfully completed.
Franconian "hidden champion" with increasing personnel requirements
The new market presence was celebrated last Friday at the company headquarters in Nuremberg-Marienberg with a major event. The highlight of the event was the unveiling of the new company logo on the roof and at the entrance to the company building. The event was attended by former employees from the founding phase, the employees of GRR Garbe Retail with their families and the Lord Mayor of Nuremberg. Lord Mayor Marcus König emphasised the importance of such a successful service provider as GRR for the city of Nuremberg and the region. He also recognised the social commitment of the company and its employees. To mark the occasion, the workforce presented a donation of €1,000 to the "Pfütze-Taler" aid fund, which enables children from low-income families to attend the Pfütze children's theatre in Nuremberg.
As a so-called "hidden champion", the Nuremberg-based company is little known outside the region, but is extremely successful economically. The asset and investment manager is an extremely attractive employer for highly qualified employees from the property and finance sector.

Proximity creates values – new claim for clear positioning
The company's presence under the GARBE umbrella brand is accompanied by the new claim "Proximity creates value". This goes hand in hand with the clear positioning of the established full-service investment company within the GARBE family of companies. GRR GARBE Retail adds the expertise of the 85 employees at the Nuremberg location and the nationwide network in the local retail segment to the Hamburg-based property expert's range of services. The full-service provider in real estate management defines its proximity to the market as well as to tenants and investors through strong partnerships and long-standing relationships based on trust. The successful track record is proof of this, as the business decisions have led to a stable increase in value: Founded in 2005, the company has continuously increased its investment volume and currently manages more than 500 properties in 5 property funds and other individual mandates.
For Christopher Garbe, Managing Partner of GARBE, one thing is certain six months after the takeover of GRR: "We are delighted to have the GRR team on board and to continue to grow on the basis of our success to date, particularly in Nuremberg! With the acquisition of GRR, we have tapped into a very attractive property market for local shopping centres in the current environment. GRR's network in this sector is exceptionally good. Building on this, we will establish the leading vertically integrated platform for local retail property on the German market. That is the goal and we are well on the way to achieving it."
Andreas Freier, Managing Director of GRR GARBE Retail, is also positive about the last few months: "The corporate philosophies of both companies fit together very well - this has made integration much easier for us as a team over the past few months. Every day I see highly motivated colleagues with great expertise who can continue to rely on the proven company culture and at the same time want to translate the spirit of optimism of a new shareholder into further growth. GRR remains an independent company within the GARBE Group and we are currently actively recruiting."
