We are one of the leading experts for food-anchored retail real estate. Our focus is on retail properties, which we hold both in funds and individual mandates. Since our foundation in 2005, we have grown steadily and have continuously increased our managed volume.

OUR HISTORY
2005
GRR AG founded; first property portfolio purchased.
2006
GRR Real Estate Management GmbH is founded as an operational asset management company.
2009
The first third-party mandate (asset and property management) is acquired for 42 properties from a private international investor
2010
The first individual mandate is launched, this is the first time a framework agreement has been concluded with a retail group for more than 70 locations.
2012
GRR German Retail Fund No. 1 launched. Fund volume around 300 million euros.
2015
GRR German Retail Fund No. 2 is launched with a volume of over 300 million euros.
2018
GRR German Retail Fund No. 3 is launched with the acquisition of a 42-property portfolio of grocery stores and discount supermarkets. This is the largest portfolio that GRR has ever acquired for one of its property funds.
2020
The initial portfolio for the newly launched GRR German Retail Fund No. 4 is acquired.
2022
GRR Future Retail Properties 1 is successfully launched as GRR’s first Article 8 fund for institutional investors.
2024
GRR Real Estate Management is acquired by the family-run company GARBE. GRR continues to operate as an independent competence centre for GARBE in the retail sector under the name GRR GARBE Retail Real Estate.
Properties in the portfolio
We currently manage over 500 retail properties throughout Germany for our funds and individual mandates. The portfolio is made up of food discounters, full-range stores, specialist stores, local shopping centres, retail parks and shopping centres, ensuring a high level of diversification.
